MARKETING

Members have the opportunity to advertise at a very affordable rate in our magazine Mountain Hunter, which reach 7000 potential clients around the world. All members are listed on our web site at www.mountainhunter.com with their contact information, what they have to offer, where their concession is located. On this special web site of ours we have our very own TV which features member's action packed videoed trips. Also posted on the web site is our very own record book which gives our clients the chance to show off their trophies and the Guide Outfitter they went with.

INSURANCE

We have been able to obtain a group liability insurance for our members with a competitive coverage with consistent premiums. This insurance coverage provides liability protection for all the various aspects of guiding & outfitting in BC, Yukon, NWT and Nunavut. Liability extensions of coverage include forest fire fighting, non-owned automobile, pollution clean-up, sub-contract guides & employees as additional insured, owned & non-owned watercraft to 39 feet, unlicensed automobiles (quads, snow machines), attached machinery liability and much more. Property coverage is also available at a significantly reduced rate from our insurance provider which can include your lodge, tent camps, mobile equipment and contents while in storage between seasons. Our broker will work with each individual to tailor their policy to suit his or her needs.

OFFICE

The Association maintains a fully equipped, modern office to service the needs of all the members. This is an excellent resource service center to provide members support in the following ways:
* Representation on issues that arise in Victoria or Ottawa that may impact our industry.
* Participates in regulation and legislation development.
* Provides updates on land-use concerns and treaties.
* Members' Update that is a communication tool to keep members informed of industry information, hunt inquiries, subjects of concern.

INDEMNITY BOND

The Ministry of Environment requires all guide outfitters to hold a $20,000.00 indemnity bond. A province wide blanket security bond that is in place between the association and the Ministry of Environment automatically covers all GOABC members. This applies to other agencies, such as Parks.

ANNUAL CONVENTION

The highlight of each year is the AGM combined with the annual convention, which is held each spring. This three-day event includes an auction fundraiser and is both informative and exciting. This interaction is very beneficial for all members to attend as it demonstrates how the Board functions, the role of your local president, and how government interacts with our association.
