Mountain Goats - Preparing for the Future
An Action Plan for the Mountain Goat
On December 8th and 9th, 2009, the Guide Outfitters Association of British Columbia hosted their third annual GOABC Wildlife Stewardship Series workshop. This year the species discussed was Mountain Goats and the workshop was held at the Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops, BC.
The purpose of this GOABC workshop was to gather information from scientific experts, the knowledgeable public, and leading partners in wildlife stewardship to answer important questions about the management of mountain goats.
Professional consultants, government biologists, First Nations representatives and conservation experts provided insight and direction about the future needs of Mountain Goat and their habitat. There were many presentations and recommendations brought forward.
For the benefit of our association members and the general public who may take an interest in wildlife stewardship, we have posted the presentations from the workshop below in PDF format for easy download.
